CCDT’s Strategic Approach

CCDT employs a rights-based approach to empower the most deprived communities, and consequently facilitates sustainable social change. By following a need-based approach CCDT has been able to identify
and work towards eradication of  communicable diseases like leprosy and is now working on HIV.

DONORS

  • Increase and diversify donor base who support CCDT values and help in implementing strategic programs
  • Develop Communication Initiatives to grow the donor base that will help amplify the cause of children
  • Nurturing, Innovating and sustaining existing initiatives

STRATEGIC PARTNERS

  • Network and collaborate with relevant strategic partners to increase impact of intervention
  • CCDT will further generate evidence for advocacy, implement innovative replicable programs to
    reach the most vulnerable communities and address the most pressing issues, efficiently and
    effectively
  • Develop Strategic partnership with various stakeholders like government, donors, technical
    bodies and civil society organizations
  • Scaling up the Residential Care Program by partnering with like-minded organizations. This
    program aims to create model shelters for children in crisis (Crisis Intervention Centers) for
    those who have been infected/affected by HIV

STAKEHOLDERS

  • CCDT’s Programs follow a Rights-based approach by linking children to the government systems by working closely with the Child Welfare Committee (CWC), Mumbai Police, Railway Police, Railway Ministry, ICDS, Anganwadis, Health Posts and Government Hospitals
  • CCDT believes in working with the Government and systems closely by linking the communities to the system by advocating for their rights. CCDT does not believe on creating parallel systems
  • Increase the involvement of stakeholders to serve the community better

COMMUNITY

  • Help foster interconnected vulnerable and marginalized community with the necessary opportunities for better health, development and protection
  • By employing members from within the community to work at the ground level it becomes easier to develop inroads in the community to create sustainable change
  • Capacity building at different levels on the issues related to children
