The “National Nutrition Month” (Poshan Maah) is celebrated in September every year. CCDT works closely in the field of health and nutrition with the communities and “Poshan Maah” is one of the much awaited and most celebrated months of the year for us. Every year, we celebrate the power of nutrition and how it positively impacts our communities across all our programs. Here are some of the highlights from this year.

Project “Suraksha” in Bhiwandi (Thane District)

Project “Suraksha” in Bhiwandi, carried out a month long successful awareness campaign ‘Har Ghar Poshan Aahaar’. The campaign’s goal was to create awareness on the importance of nutrition in the first “1000 days” of life. The campaign not only included ante natal and post-natal women but their families including the decision makers like husbands and mother-in-laws.

Project “Suraksha” in Malegaon (Nashik District)

Team members of project “Suraksha” in Malegaon carefully curated grocery kit for children (SAM & MAM) and new mothers. The grocery kit consisted of food products with high nutrition value like jaggery, soya bean, chana, groundnuts etc. CCDT led community along with ICDS team members conducted recipe contest.
