Kilbil Balak Utsav was organised at Sanjay Gandhi National Park supported by Mission Del Sorriso, Italy for children who are studying in the school and college. The purpose of this program was to get all the children from various hamlets on one platform to get to know each other.

The programme started with a Tribal Dance by the children and was followed by various games and sports activities to bring out and exhibit unity between the children. Our three staff members who were working with these children from 25 years were felicitated for their contribution by CCDT’s Managing Trustee, Sara D’mello.

The event had more than 50 children and community members participate. The children were very happy to spend time together as they made friends from other hamlets. They shared their feedback at the end of the event concluding the following:

We had an opportunity to meet and make new friends from other padas (hamlets). We enjoyed this get together.

We had a very constructive day as we were informed about various government schemes. We are motivated now to study hard and have a bright future.
