Required Qualification:

GNM /  B.Sc Nursing from a recognized institute.

Experience

  • 1–3 years of experience in clinic, hospitalor NGO health projects.
  • Experience working in Maternal & Child Health (MCH) and Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) programs preferred.
  • Experience in community health programs and patient counselling is desirable.

Job Description

1. Clinical Support

  • Assist the Medical Officer during patient consultations and examinations.
  • Record patient history, vital signs (BP, weight, temperature, blood sugar, etc.).
  • Administer prescribed medications, injections, and basic treatments as per medical guidance.
  • Maintain patient records, registers, and clinic documentation.

2. Maternal & Child Health (MCH)

  • Support antenatal and postnatal care services at the clinic.
  • Monitor pregnant women and child growth (weight monitoring, nutrition guidance).
  • Promote institutional delivery, breastfeeding, and immunization awareness.
  • Identify high-risk cases and refer them to the Medical Officer or nearby health facility.

3. NCD Screening & Follow-up

  • Conduct screening for hypertension and diabetes.
  • Monitor blood pressure, blood sugar levels, and other basic health indicators.
  • Maintain NCD patient records and follow-up lists.
  • Support NCD awareness activities and screening camps.

4. Patient Counselling

  • Provide counselling to patients on nutrition, hygiene,  lifestyle modifications, medication adherence and disease prevention.
  • Counsel mothers and caregivers on child health, breastfeeding, and complementary feeding.
  • Address patient concerns and encourage regular follow-ups.
  • Offer psychosocial support and ensure the emotional well-being of beneficiaries.

5. Community Outreach

  • Participate in health camps, awareness sessions and community meetings.
  • Support field staff in identifying and referring beneficiaries to the clinic.
  • Assist in health education programs related to MCH and NCD prevention.

6. Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain clinic registers, patient records, and counselling notes.
  • Support preparation of monthly clinic reports and project data.
  • Ensure proper stock records of medicines and medical supplies.
