CCDT’s Programmes under the Development Thematic works towards the social and economic empowerment of adolescents and youth from marginalized communities to become leaders of change. India, with nearly 61% of its population in the age group of 15-59 years (‘working-age population’), is evidently a country of young people. The Government of India (GoI) has laid emphasis on development of vocational training over past couple of years. Taking forward the goals of National Skill Development Council (NSDC) which works with the private sector, to foster private sector initiatives, CCDT has started implementing the Skill-Based Training Programme.
